A starting point for the curious.
OrientLore brings practical tools and cultural reading together, so a quick question can open into something more.
Understand a little.
Discover a lot.
Begin with a question
What is my Chinese zodiac sign? Why is jade so valued? What is the story behind the moon festival? We make room for both the quick answer and the longer story.
Our starting point
The first collection focuses on Chinese symbols, stories, and traditions. East Asia is not a single culture, and this small library does not attempt to represent every community or experience. As the collection grows, each subject needs its own sources and context.
Culture is a conversation
We write introductions for English-speaking readers, drawing on museum collections, scholarship, and cultural references. OrientLore is an independent discovery project, not a museum or an institutional authority. The references on each entry are an invitation to read further.
Our tools explain their methods and limits. Traditional interpretations are presented as cultural frameworks, not personal predictions.
